As social restrictions begin to loosen in some cities across Indonesia, hotels such as Hotel Monopoli in South Jakarta are rolling out new ways to attract guests while enforcing health and hygiene guidelines.
To appeal to Jakartans who need to briefly get away from their work desks at home, Hotel Monopoli is now offering Work From Hotel deals as well as staycation packages.

Waking up in the same space where you’ll spend the next eight or so hours working can get overwhelming, especially when you’re not sure how long such a work-from-home arrangement will continue. Given the current pandemic situation, some might be hesitant to work at a cafe where many people come and go.
So when a boutique hotel such as South Jakarta’s Hotel Monopoli offers a Work From Home deal, you might be tempted to treat yourself to a change of scene during the work week.

Until 31st October 2020, you can book a room for a day from Monday to Thursday, from 8AM to 6PM. Prices start at Rp. 300,000 (~USD20.44), which includes a box of pastries from KITTE by Alma and a 1L bottle of Sugar Bloom Coffee to keep you caffeinated.
Additionally, you’ll get stationery and free WiFi. You can also print up to 10 pages in case you need hard copies of your day’s work.

As for the rooms, Deluxe and Grand Deluxe are suitable for two people. Those of you who need to hold a small meeting or prefer to have some extra space can go for the Junior, Superior, or Executive suites – all of which are recommended for no more than four people.

Other than treating yourself to a comfy workspace, you can of course let yourself enjoy a quick staycation. The Reset Now deal, which starts from Rp. 350,000 (~USD23.84) per night, will be available until 30th November 2020.

With the same types of rooms available as the Work From Hotel deal, the Reset Now promo will give you the additional benefit of checking out as late as 3PM. However, this would depend on the booking schedule of a given day.
Nasi Goreng Cingur

While you’re there, you might as well eat to your heart’s content at the hotel’s restaurant Segundo. You can of course have the food delivered to your room. The restaurant focuses on Indonesian, Spanish, and Mediterranean cuisine.
One of their local dishes is Nasi Goreng Cingur (Rp. 75,000, ~USD5.09), which is fried rice topped with cingur, or shredded beef cheek. It’s highly recommended for foodies with a tolerance for sambal.
The stress of the COVID-19 pandemic is surely no easy thing to handle, so spending a day in a relaxing environment might help to calm the nerves. But don’t forget to still wear a mask and practice physical distancing when in public areas.
To make your Work From Hotel or staycation reservation, you can simply give them a call or send them a DM through Instagram. Alternatively, you can also book your stay on the hotel’s website.
